Warranty

About This Warranty

This is our own written warranty. It is in addition to any manufacturer's warranty and to your rights under state law — it does not replace either.

The full text of this warranty is linked from every product page, next to the product description, and is shown to you before you complete checkout, as 16 CFR §702.3 requires. A copy is also included with your order confirmation.

1. Why we give our own warranty

Manufacturers publish their own warranty terms, and the term for each model is shown on its product page. But several brands limit warranty service to units bought from their own authorized retailers, and — unless a product page says otherwise — we are not an authorized dealer. We are not willing to sell you a machine and leave you to discover that on the day it breaks. So we back it ourselves.

2. Who is covered

This warranty is extended to the original purchaser only and is not transferable.

3. What is covered, and for how long

This warranty covers every product sold by Hearthsweep at hearthsweep.store — the complete product as supplied, including the motor, battery, dock or base station, and the accessories packed in the retail box. It does not cover anything listed in section 4.

It runs for 12 months from the date your order is delivered. Within that period we cover three things:

WhatWhenWhat we do
Defect on arrival or early failureFirst 30 days from deliveryFree replacement or a full refund, your choice — prepaid return label, no restocking fee
Manufacturer refuses a warranty claim because we are not an authorized dealerRemainder of the 12 monthsWe repair, replace, or refund at our cost
Item is not genuine, or not the brand and model describedNot time-limited — see our Product Authenticity policyFull refund including all shipping, prepaid return label, no restocking fee

Everything we do under this warranty is at our expense, including return shipping.

The warranty period begins on the delivery date recorded by the carrier, not on the order date.

4. What is not covered

  • Damage from misuse, neglect, accident, or use outside the manufacturer's manual
  • Damage from unauthorized repair, modification, or non-manufacturer parts
  • Normal wear items consumed in use: filters, brush rolls, belts, pads, seals, cleaning solutions
  • Cosmetic wear that does not affect how the product works
  • Damage from operating a product outside its rated conditions — for example running an evaporative cooler dry, or a pressure washer without water
  • Products bought from anyone other than Hearthsweep
  • Loss or damage occurring after the warranty period ends

Where a fault is covered by the manufacturer's own warranty and the manufacturer honors it, that is the route to use — this warranty exists for the cases where it does not.

None of these exclusions, and none of the time limits in section 3, apply to a safety incident under section 5. A fire, overheat, leak, swelling, or injury is refunded or replaced in full whatever the age of the product.

5. Recalls and safety incidents

Several categories we sell have a real safety history — Robot Vacuums, Air Purifiers, Fans & Cooling, Floor Washers, Stick Vacuums, and any product containing a lithium-ion battery.

Tell us immediately if a product catches fire, overheats, smokes, sparks, leaks, swells, or causes an injury or a near-miss. Email support@hearthsweep.store with "Safety" in the subject line, or call +1 (970) 666-8417 during support hours. Stop using the product, unplug it, and do not attempt to repair it.

What we do with that report:

  • We forward it to the manufacturer, and report it to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission where our own obligations as a retailer under 15 U.S.C. §2064(b) require it.
  • We refund or replace the unit in full, at your choice, whatever its age and whatever this warranty's period says — a safety failure is never treated as ordinary wear.
  • If a product you bought from us is recalled, we contact you using the details on your order and tell you what the manufacturer's remedy is and how to claim it.

You can also report a product safety incident directly to the CPSC at www.SaferProducts.gov or 1-800-638-2772. Nothing in this warranty asks you to come to us first, or discourages you from reporting.

6. How to get service

  1. Email support@hearthsweep.store with your order number, the model, and a description of the fault. Photos or a short video help. Put "Warranty" in the subject line.
  2. We reply within 1 business day.
  3. In the first 30 days, we go straight to replacement or refund — no manufacturer involvement needed.
  4. After 30 days, contact the manufacturer first with your proof of purchase; every order ships with a dated invoice for exactly this. If they ask for retailer details, we supply them. If they refuse the claim because of where you bought it, come back to us and we act under section 3.

There is no informal dispute-settlement mechanism of the kind described in 16 CFR Part 703 that you are required to use before making a claim under this warranty. Section 14 of our Terms & Conditions asks you to email us before starting formal proceedings and otherwise routes disputes to arbitration — but that section does not apply to claims under this warranty or under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, which you may bring in court.

7. Implied warranties

We do not disclaim the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose — under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. §2308) a warrantor who gives a written warranty may not. To the extent your state permits, any implied warranty on a product is limited in duration to 12 months from delivery, the same period as this Limited Warranty.

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

8. Limitation of remedies

Except as stated below, our liability under this warranty is limited to the remedies set out in sections 3 and 5 of this warranty — that is:

  • replacement or a full refund, at your choice, for a fault reported in the first 30 days;
  • repair, replacement, or refund at our option where a manufacturer refuses a claim after those first 30 days;
  • a full refund including all shipping, with no time limit, for an item that is not genuine or not the brand and model described;
  • a full refund or replacement, at your choice and whatever the age of the product, for a safety incident under section 5.

Subject to those remedies, we are not liable for incidental or consequential damages.

This limitation does not apply to any claim for death or personal injury arising from a product, however that claim arises — including negligence, strict product liability, and breach of any express or implied warranty — nor to any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

9. Your legal rights

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Nothing in this warranty, in our Terms & Conditions, or in any other policy limits your rights under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act or under your state's consumer-protection law.

10. Related policies

  • Returns & Refunds — the return window of 30 days, which is separate from and additional to this warranty
  • Product Authenticity — what we guarantee about the goods themselves
  • Terms & Conditions — section 9 (Warranties) and section 13 (Limitation of liability)
